North Carolina Innovations Waiver
Our team of professionals provide Specialized Consultative Services (SCS) to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, individuals with traumatic brain injury, and their caregivers. This includes behavioral specialized consultative services and natural supports education. We are currently taking referrals from Alliance Health, Vaya Health, Trillium Health Resources, and Partners Behavior Health.

Specialized Consultative Services (SCS) provide expertise, training, and technical assistance in a specialty area (psychology, behavior intervention, and other licensed professionals who possess experience with individuals with a traumatic brain injury) to assist family members, support staff, and other natural supports in assisting individuals with traumatic brain injury or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Natural Supports Education (NSE) provides training to families and the beneficiary’s natural support network in order to enhance the decision making capacity of the natural support network, provide orientation regarding the nature and impact of the traumatic brain injury or intellectual and developmental disabilities upon the beneficiary, provide education and training on intervention/strategies, and provide education and training in the use of specialized equipment and supplies.
